Born 1967. Farmer of sheep, beef cattle and 200 acres of arable land at Leadgate near Consett, and haulier. Owner of a small haulage firm which went bankrupt during the BSE crisis. North East regional director of Farmers for Action, 2000. Organiser of the People's Fuel Lobby in 2000.
Contested Sedgefield for the UK Independence Party in 2001. Joined the British National Party in February 2007. Contested Leadgate ward, Derwentside District Council in 2007.
The main themes of his campaign were:
Oppose the new EU treaty and campaign for a referendum.
Bring the troops home from Iraq now.
