Steven Nimmo
Steven Nimmo is 27 and works as a Regional Organiser for the Scottish Socialist Party in the Lothians. He was born in Torphichen and educated at the local primary school, Bathgate Academy and
Borders College where he studied gamekeeping and habitat management. He worked for Grampian Country Foods and at St. John's hospital where he was a Unison shop steward. Contested the seat in the 2005 general election and Linlithgow in the 2003
Scottish Parliament election.
The main themes of his campaign were:
Scrap the council tax.
Introduce nutritious free school meals across Scotland.
Rid Scotland of nuclear weapons.
