John Bloom

Born in Hartlepool and lives in the town centre with his wife and two children. He works as a care worker with people with learning difficulties. Convenor of the campaign against a second nuclear power station on Teesside and organised the Save Our Hospital campaign in Hartlepool.

The main themes of his campaign were:

• Save our hospital.

• Stop Labour turning the town into a toxic dump.

• Bring the troops home from Iraq now.
