James Starkey
A former Army Officer, he is originally from the North East but after 22 years in the army he now lives in Oxfordshire. Saw active service in the Falklands and Northern Ireland before working for the United Nations in Bosnia. Organised a National Front campaign against an accommodation centre for asylum seekers in Bicester. Contested Bicester West ward of Cherwell District Council in 2003 and 2004. Contested the recent Birmingham Hodge Hill by-election.
The main themes of his campaign were:
Detain and screen all asylum seekers and illegal immigrants.
Zero tolerance policing to cure crime and drugs problems.
Remove the 'ghost ships' from Hartlepool.
