Born 18th August 1934 under the name Ronald Cleghorn.  A singer and entertainer, he sang the British entry in the 1962 Eurovision Song Contest. Contested Hampstead and Highgate in the 1997 General election and the 1997 Uxbridge by-election.

The main themes of his campaign were:

• Vote for me and you would be effectively voting for yourself.

• You elected a monkey as mayor, now elect me to be your organ grinder.

• Lets tell our political servants that they are redundant.
