Deputy Chairman of Newcastle-upon-Tyne Conservative Federation. Director of HomeServe plc. Educated at Tettenhall College and Kent University. Contested Newcastle-upon-Tyne East and Wallsend in 1997, the North East region (2nd on the Conservative list) in the 2004 European elections and has contested five Newcastle-upon-Tyne City Council elections.

The main themes of his campaign were:

• Zero tolerance policing, more police back on the beat.

• Offer drug abusers the choice of prison or rehab.

• Keep the pound and oppose the EU Constitution.
