James Hargreaves
Born as George Jackman in 1958, he was educated at Woolverstone Hall School and Oxford University. A former member of the Liberal Democrats and the Referendum Party who made lots of money as a songwriter, most famously penning Sinitta’s “So Macho”. Now Pastor of the Hephizibah Christian Centre, Hackney.
Contested Walthamstow for the Referendum Party in 1997. Representing Operation Christian Vote, he contested Scotland in the 2004 European Elections, 2004 Birmingham Hodge Hill by-election and Na h-Eileanan An Iar (Western Isles) at the 2005 General election. Under the title of "Scottish Christian Party" he contested the 2006 Dunfermline and West Fife by-election and Glasgow Baillieston in the Scottish Parliament elections of 2007.
