ICT teacher and local campaigner against the war in Iraq and privatisation.
A married father-of-three grew up in Southall and has locally campaigned to keep Southall Community Centre and the Dominion Centre open, opposing commercial development on the Southall Gasworks site in favour of community facilities and supporting sacked Gate Gourmet workers..
The main themes of his campaign were:
Tell Gordon Brown to bring the troops home now.
Oppose the Uxbridge Road tram and invest in bus and tube services.
Tax the rich to improve public services.
