He has lived and worked as a self-employed publisher in Chislehurst since 1988, previously living in both Bickley and Bromley. Married to Sue, a Community Practice Teacher in the Borough, they have two children. A member of St Nicholas Church in Chislehurst, he enjoys gardening, pottering and making a stand against Council Tax rises. Contested the Chislehurst ward in May's local elections, receiving 903 votes.
