'Rainbow' George Weiss
A record producer and broadcaster, he worked for the family jewelers business until he "dropped out" in 1976. Founder of the Captain Rainbow's Universal Party, later renamed the Rainbow Connection.
The main themes of his campaign were:
Sack all MPs.
Create a tax-free society.
Develop a direct democracy machine where everyone can vote on single issues.
